Under the patronage of His Highness the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, The Ministry of Transport and Communications will hold the fifth edition of the Qatar Information Technology Exhibition and Conference (QITCOM 2019) from 29th of October to 1st of November 2019 at Doha, Qatar under the theme “Safe Smart Cities”. QITCOM 2019 is a unique global and regional event that will showcase the latest trends in ICT, promote entrepreneurship and innovation and encourage the use of smart solutions to build smart cities leveraging high cybersecurity technologies. It is an opportunity for policy makers, technology providers and large organizations specialized in smart city solutions to discuss security challenges in this field, support regional initiatives and showcase innovative ideas and strategies by global companies and stakeholders to achieve the global cyber security objectives together. More than 500 international participants, 300 international and local companies and 100 international and local startups are expected to participate at QITCOM 2019. It will also host more than 90 prominent international and local speakers in the field of smart city technology in intellectually stimulating discussions on cybersecurity solutions and policies to address the real challenges faced in this space. QITCOM 2019 represents a platform for the interaction of high-level officials in world governments, business leaders, academicians, innovators and investors from across the globe; where they can communicate and share knowledge in sustainable economic development through technological innovation.
