Stewart joined Microsoft in December 2014 and he leads Business Development for Microsoft Sport, identifying and building the company’s relationship with the worldwide sports industry.
He started his career as an advertising sales executive before joining IMG as a Director of Sponsorship. He left to start his own sports and media production consultancy, later sold to Inter Public Group Subsidiary Octagon, with whom he created and built the acclaimed sports research business Futures Sport and Entertainment. Prior to that, he became an investor in Sports Tech to advocate on how and why the sports industry at club and federation level must recognize and embrace disruptive and transformational paradigm shifts, to be more relevant to the demands of the connected fan in the 21st century. Stewart is a regular speaker at sports conferences and a contributor on the subject in the media. He is currently based in London.
